Every year, Eatons Hill Hotel hosts an annual Sporting Lunch in the Grand Ballroom. In 2023, the venue held it’s 11th annual lunch, and it was the 8th sell out event in a row.
Aiming to raise funds for local sporting clubs, the Albany Creek Crushers and the Samford Stags, this year’s event broke the record, raising $41,000! Topped up by the Comiskey Group, the family donated $4,000 to bring the total to $45,000.

The Sporting Lunch on Friday 7th July was hosted by Luttsy & Mitch Lewis who brought out comedian, Steve Allison first to get the crowd amped up for an afternoon of banter. Attendees enjoyed a 3 course meal and premium beverage package whilst listening to guest speakers, Broncos superstars, Kotoni Staggs and Adam Reynolds; followed by State of Origin legends, Chris Walker, Todd Carney and Greg Bird.

The Sporting Lunch sold raffle tickets with prizes which included:
