Celebrating the year of 2023, the Comiskey Group hosted their annual staff party at their very own venues, Sandstone Point Holiday Resort and the Oyster Shed Beach Club. Over 400 staff came together from across the hotels to attend the beach club-themed event!
The party’s arrival drinks were hosted at Sandstone Lagoon, a chemical-free swimming hole with cascading waterfalls and sand surrounds. The team arrived to a DJ performing on a RedBull truck on the beachfront, and champagne being poured by stilt walkers.
From the moment the drinks began to flow, it was clear this was no ordinary gathering. Attendees had their pick of activities to indulge in: lounging under umbrellas, engaging in spirited lawn games, taking a refreshing dip in the lagoon, feasting on gourmet platters, or dancing.
Then, as if on cue, the excitement soared to new heights. A roaring jetski burst onto the scene, performing breathtaking tricks on the lagoon. With gravity-defying flips and a splash zone that left onlookers drenched and amazed, the jetski show turned the afternoon into an unforgettable spectacle, leaving everyone buzzing with awe and excitement.
The excitement continued as a water-powered jetpack stunt performer followed, flying high in the air!
This would have been the main event for most Christmas parties, but the Comiskey Group never do anything in halves! The team were directed to walk across to the Oyster Shed Beach Club for the fun to continue into the night! Arriving to flames igniting over the beach club and giant tipi tent, DJs, dancers and fire twirlers performing.
After the vibes had set in and everyone had arrived, Directors Rob, David and Paul took to the stage to do speeches, thanking staff for the past year and giving a sneak peek as to what’s to come for the group! As with every staff party, Paul Comiskey marked the end of speeches with a sing-a-long to his favourite song, “Sweet Caroline”.

The night kicked off with LED hula hoopers, a sparks show and the opening of a second stage, the silent disco! Staff could get Hawaiian leis around their neck, glow sticks and professionally applied neon UV paint, ready for the UV lights to turn on.
Giant light-up horses galloped through the crowds, because… why not?
Staff made their way to the 360-video booth to capture the good times!
DJ Brooklyn hit the decks for a headline set, and the LED rave sticks came out to the heaving dancefloor!
Fireworks ended the night with a BANG!
