On Friday 4th July, Eatons Hill Hotel once again proved itself as a cornerstone of the local community, proudly hosting its 13th Annual Sporting Lunch. The sold-out event brought together local clubs, supporters, and legends of the game in a celebration of sport and community spirit.
Guests were treated to an unforgettable afternoon with sporting greats Wendell Sailor, Allan “Alfie” Langer, and Scott Prince, joined by high-energy hosts Luttsy and Mitch Lewis. Their stories, banter, and passion for grassroots sport created an electric atmosphere and had the room hanging on every word.
This year’s lunch raised an incredible $42,000, with all proceeds going directly to local rugby league clubs, the Samford Stags and Albany Creek Crushers. These funds will support junior development programs, new equipment, and ongoing club improvements — strengthening the future of local sport for the next generation.
