Located in Australia’s largest master-planned community, Stockland Aura, just 10 minutes from Caloundra. Set to be the Sunshine Coast’s largest music venue and hotel, Aura Hotel will see some of the world’s best musical talent play on its stage.

Director Rob Comiskey is excited to bring more entertainment to the Sunshine Coast.

“We’ve had artists from Prince to Post Malone play at our venues, every genre, for every demographic. Aura Hotel will also see a revolving door of talent, bringing big acts closer to home for those residing on the coast. We are already thinking about the live music experience, meticulously planning the design of the live band room and world-class production. Capable of hosting 2,500 fans, the experience will be both epic and intimate” says Rob.

The Comiskey Group are expected to settle on the property later in the year and Aura Hotel is likely to be complete by early 2026.

The Comiskey Group’s $45m hotel will be the crowning jewel of Aura’s premium entertainment hub in the City Centre of the Stockland development, which backs onto a 5-hectare, Southbank-style parkland. Patrons will experience the elite hospitality of The Comiskey Group throughout the hotel which includes; internal and alfresco dining areas, six bars across 3 levels, a gaming room and multiple function spaces.

“It’s going to be a beast! If you’re a fan of our Eatons Hill Hotel and Sandstone Point Hotel properties, you’ll definitely be excited for Aura Hotel. We’ve been making significant changes to the initial design concept over the last few months. Today for the first time we are sharing the new Mediterranean-look of the building” says Rob Comiskey.

Receiving the latest artist impressions this week, Director Rob Comiskey is eager to hear the community’s thoughts on the design of the development.

“We shifted focus, basing the concept around thoughtfully-designed landscaping and bold architecture, adding more wow-factor from the façade and throughout. Most notably we decided to combine interesting textural elements and shapes to enhance the new Mediterranean aesthetic. The style will be seamlessly carried throughout the design, with exceptionally unique indoor/outdoor areas, suitable for the whole family” says Rob.

The Comiskey Group are excited to have one of their very own signature entertainment venues in the Aura community.

“We were immediately excited to work with Stockland, the size and scale of the Aura development is very impressive. Australia’s largest master-planned community will have the Sunshine Coast’s biggest entertainment venue; we feel that our businesses and these projects are well-aligned and so it was a no brainer for us! We love the Sunshine Coast and have been making significant investments in the region for many years, this will be yet another exciting project” says Rob Comiskey.

Stockland Aura’s Project Director, Josh Sondergeld said the Aura Hotel will be a welcome addition to the growing community.

“As Stockland Aura continues to grow, it will be exciting to see the Aura Hotel come to life. The venue will be ideal for our residents and visitors to enjoy a family meal, celebrate a milestone, or watch some great live entertainment.”

The Comiskey Group recently received development approval for a large holiday resort in Coochin Creek, alongside a 150-hectare festival site called Coochin Fields on the Sunshine Coast.
