The Cactus House

An ultra modern Palm Springs inspired location available for photoshoots. Built by the Comiskey Group, the property offers expansive views of Brisbane city and striking architectural ingenuity with a sleek, simplistic design. The building merges minimalist and mid-century modern with contemporary textures including bold concrete slabs and desert stone walls. The Cactus House has become an iconic backdrop featuring in campaigns for some of Australia’s most premium brands.

Sandstone Point Holiday Resort

Sandstone Point Holiday Resort was the group’s first endeavour into the holiday park industry. Designed to modernise the traditional holiday park construct by keeping brand at the forefront of the entire development process, the resort was able to adopt a more premium feel. Across from Bribie Island and the iconic Sandstone Point Hotel, the resort showcases the best of South East Queensland escapes with beaches, bushland and entertainment right on its doorstep. Offering world-class facilities and a range of accommodation options including Villas, Safari Tents, camp and caravan sites, the resort has become the most popular BIG4 holiday park in Australia.

The Loft

A former electricity sub-station in Alderley turned into a magazine cover-worthy bachelor pad. Built in the 1950s and purchased in 2003 by Comiskey Group Director, Rob Comiskey as a passion project; the solid brick box-like structure was renovated into a modern livable space whilst keeping some of the original brick wall interior and 5.2 tonne gantry crane as a focal point of the design. The sub-station became a residential property and featured a mezzanine level and open plan living area reminiscent of a New York style loft.

Tinbeerwah Residence

A premium residential property built by the Comiskey Group, located in the prestigious Sunshine Coast hinterland. Overflowing with water and light, the residence optimises space and livability while retaining an air of sophistication and style. Designed to take full advantage of its lush surrounds, the home features floor to ceiling windows, stacking glass doors and sky lights. Incorporating a minimalist design using raw industrial materials, the property offers a slick modern aesthetic that nevertheless nestles unobtrusively among the treetops.

Eatons Hill Hotel Accommodation

In 2018, Eatons Hill Hotel added a 4.5 star boutique accommodation building across from the entertainment precinct. The 90-room luxury hotel features a heated pool, gym, large function space and multiple board-room style meeting hubs as well as an attached retail village for the convenience of guests. Designed with a striking foyer complete with cashmere gold granite imported from India, tasteful brass finishings as well as breakout lounge areas, the accommodation building is unlike anything you’ll see in the suburbs. The building is a convenient place to stay for event and function attendees and has seen a focus on the corporate market pulling from the nearby industrial estate of Brendale.

Oyster Shed

On the shoreline of Sandstone Point Hotel sits the Oyster Shed, a unique fish & chippery with a jetty for those that wish to “dock n dine”. Before the land was purchased by the group it was an operational oyster farm; ensuring the new facility paid homage to the history of the property, the group kept the roof of the original red shed that sat on the waterfront and mondernised the exterior, turning it into a casual dining space with coast-inspired décor and a modern, nautical theme. The jetty which extends out onto the Pumicestone Passage holds a piece of Brisbane’s history; when pieces of the iconic Brisbane Riverwalk became floating missiles in the 2011 floods, the Comiskey Group salvaged and restored them into the jetty. The jetty repurposed these materials which is not only a functional feature of the property but a talking point!
