New major facilities under construction at Sandstone Point

Sandstone Point Hotel and Sandstone Point Holiday Resort are getting a serious glow up, with new major facilities currently under construction. Set to open in just a few months, the hotel will see its Oyster Shed fish & chippery reimagined into a Bali-style beach club; the resort will soon be home to a second heated pool, swim up bar, spa, eco villas and mini golf course!

After returning from a family holiday to Bali in 2019, Director Rob Comiskey was inspired to bring a taste of the laid back experience and offering of the incredible beach clubs typically seen in Seminyak and Canggu. The Oyster Shed Beach Club will encompass the same Sandstone Point feel we all know and love but with cruisy daytime DJs and new exciting facilities.

An idyllic setting, Sandstone Point Hotel’s waterfront will soon be lined with palm trees, bean bags and an all new cocktail bar and restaurant. The Oyster Shed Beach Club will still offer fresh seafood and stunning views of the Pumicestone Passage, but with even more to enjoy. Just in time for summer, you can expect the beach club to open in late 2022.

Australia’s most popular BIG4 holiday park just keeps getting better! Sandstone Point Holiday Resort will open a second heated pool in 2022. Complete with a swim up bar, in-water loungers and spa, surrounded by luxe cabanas and palms. You’ll be able to soak up the sun in style!

That’s not all! Sandstone Point Holiday Resort aims to open a brand new mini golf course and 21 Eco Villas before the December school holidays.

Situated in a Paperbark Forest, the Eco Villas are the first of their kind at the resort. Immersed in tall trees and greenery, you’ll be close to world-class facilities but feel far away with nature at your doorstep.

Director Rob Comiskey is excited to see visitors get even more out of their experience at the hotel and resort.

“We always try to stay innovative and continually improve our businesses, we aim to keep reinvigorating our venues, giving guests new and exciting facilities to look forward to and enjoy. We are always trying to see what’s missing or what we could do better, we even ask our kids! A swim up bar is one of my favourite holiday past times and I know my wife would agree. My kids can’t wait to have a putt at the new mini golf course and I hope yours are just as excited!” says Rob.
